Meeting Denise was like a breath of fresh air. A latina full of energy & ready and able to do whatever it takes to make her dream a reality. You see the inspiration in her eyes & the skip in her step! I know the feeling well, that feeling of finally doing something your heart truly desires. Her energy truly proved that she was doing exactly that. A woman who plays no games, she knows what she wants & is determined to make it there by any means. Anything within her reach.

Meeting Denise & hearing her story made me re amp my energy, the type of individual that reminds you why you do the things you do & makes you realize there is so much more you need to be doing. It was an instant connection with Denise, it was difficult not to want to stay around her energy. It took one night, one feature to realize this is someone I want to keep around, grow & learn from.

D.La Paix Jewelry is beautifully crafted pieces which can be worn with a cool pair of jeans, or a beautiful evening gown. Jewelry that just pops & finalizes the outfit. Where are you from (nationality & raised) & how has this impacted your creativity?
I am from New Jersey, Puerto Rican. Born & Raised. Absolutely my upbringing has made me a stronger person and a sometimes difficult environment made me realize that I wanted more out of life.

Where did your love for creating come from?
In Puerto Rico, I use to go to the little “tienditas” with my aunt and buy the swarovski crystal bracelets. I loved all the colorful crystals and it always stuck with me.

What do you want your brand & image to say to your audience?

I want a woman to wear my jewelry and be noticed. To be confident no matter what age. To be able to uplift spirits with something visual. We all want to be noticed somehow, so I want my brand & image to always represent that to my audience.

Where do you see your brand expanding to in the next few years?
I see Jewels by D. LaPaix in really nice high-end boutiques, NY soho, Puerto Rico, Miami even a department stores, Bloomingdale, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus. I want to be a household name. & my brand will get there.

What influences your style & creativity?
My ethnicity, my background, my culture has a lot to do with what I create.

Do you have advice for anyone who wants to follow your footsteps?
Follow your passion. You have to pound that pavement every single day, it’s a lot of hard work & dedication. By the time you’re almost done, you will have a story to tell.

What do you want your brand to represent to it’s audience & why should everyone be rocking you’re jewelry?
Because you’re going to look fabulous when you wear my jewelry! Its goes with everything, for brunch, dinner and a night out with your girlfriends. It’s jewelry for all occasions.
