The youngest of four girls, Elizabeth was born on August 4,1986 in New York City, to two hardworking immigrants from The Dominican Republic.

As a child, Elizabeth would sit by her window with her sisters watching the world around her.  On her fire escape, she would create countless dreams, silently waiting for her time to make them a reality. Elizabeth used school to develop her many talents, being recognized early by her kindergarten teacher as the future president she was encouraged by many to reach her full potential.  While in grade school she embraced her writing talents and developed a love for the power of words. Having her first poem “Love,” published at the age of 10, Elizabeth was learning the effect that words and art has on people.Elizabeth personality shined bright throughout her life.

While attending Mother Cabrini High School, she continued to develop her leadership skills by leading several groups, including her high school drum crop where she was [Sergeant Major/ Corps Commander, Chief of Cadet Staff & Section Leader of the Fife Section]- the highest rank within the organization. Drum Corp taught her not only leadership, but discipline and true dedication.This was Elizabeth’s first opportunity to give her all to something without material compensation- something later on in life she craved.

At Manhattan College (MC) where she studied Marketing, she quickly expanded her network by mingling with everyone she encountered and expanded her worldview. While at MC, Elizabeth participated in many activities, all which helped nurture her leadership skills.

Elizabeth continued to write, under the name “Eliz_Talks” to a small, intimate group (you would have had to know her to know that this Xanga blog even existed). Her writing was personal and examined every aspect of life. Instead of simply looking thru the window, Elizabeth had climbed down her fire escape and had begun her own journey of which she began to keep a record of.

“Letting my heart speak the words that my soul silently utters. Letting my words speak to you & make you see things differently.”

After graduating MC with a B.S in Business Marketing and Global Business, Elizabeth was ready to take on the corporate world. After 3 years behind a cubical, Elizabeth slowly began to realize that the corporate world was not where she wanted to be. She missed the devotion she had towards drum corp. After a life changing event- the death of a close family member Elizabeth decided to take action and make her dreams a reality.

Instead of playing it safe, Elizabeth decided to share Eliz_talks with everyone. She began sending inspirational messages to close friends and acquaintances. Hearing people’s stories on how she was able to provide a positive effect on people’s mood with her messages made her realize that her mission was to provide motivation to others.

After joining Twitter and observing its users and impact, Elizabeth designed a more logical business. With something inside of her saying it’s now or never, she decided her life is a lot bigger then the confinement of a cubicle and established www.eliztalks.com.

She finds satisfaction seeing others rise and accomplish their own goals and believes that to live is to in simply live on ones own terms, not those built by societies.
